Give us your best ‘Silly Walks’ this April Fool’s day!

Clown around for a good cause this April Fools’ Day and take part in our ‘Silly Walks’ campaign!

On Thursday 1 April we’re asking people – the young and young at heart – to share their best silly walk on social media and donate €4 to support our vital work in Direct Provision centres across Ireland.

Our workshops bring laughter and joy to children living in Direct Provision centres. For those couple of hours they can just be children again.

Since Covid-19 restrictions began in March of last year, we’ve moved our workshops online but without additional funding we’re finding it difficult to reach as many children.

All funds raised through our ‘Silly Walks’ campaign will go directly to hiring workshop facilitators, buying equipment for the centres and paying for adult supervision of the kids during the virtual workshops.

Everyone needs a bit of comic relief at the moment. Get the whole family involved and do a silly walk across the kitchen, the garden, the road or the beach. Get creative within your 5km and have some fun!

It’s easy to take part on Thursday 1 April!

  1. Dress up (if you like, the sillier the better!)
  2. Film your silliest walk
  3. Share it on social media with the hashtag #sillywalks and donate €4 online at www.cwbireland.com/support/
